1. Our commitment
WellDesty (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles candidate and employer information for recruitment and manpower supply. We aim to collect only the information needed, explain how it will be used, and share it only for legitimate recruitment, employment, legal, or operational purposes.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on the vacancy and recruitment stage, we may collect:
- Candidate contact details, address, date of birth, and identity information.
- Résumés, employment history, references, education and training records, and certificates.
- Passport and visa information, photographs, and other travel documents where relevant.
- Interview notes, skill assessments, medical fitness information, and job-related background checks where lawful and necessary.
- Employer details, vacancy information, hiring requirements, and business contact details.
- Payment, invoice, and communication records.
Please send genuine, accurate documents and avoid sharing unrelated sensitive information.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Assess suitability for a specific vacancy and contact candidates about recruitment.
- Present eligible candidates to employers for consideration.
- Verify documents and qualifications, arrange interviews or assessments, and coordinate lawful medical, visa, emigration, and travel processes.
- Communicate selection outcomes, job terms, required documents, and process updates.
- Manage employer services, payments, complaints, fraud prevention, and recordkeeping.
- Meet legal and regulatory requirements and protect the rights and safety of candidates, employers, and WellDesty.
We do not promise selection or employment merely because a candidate’s information has been reviewed or shared.
4. Sharing information
When needed for a vacancy or process, we may share relevant information with the prospective employer and its authorised representatives, and with service providers or authorities involved in verification, medical assessments, visa or emigration processing, travel, insurance, or legal compliance.
We aim to share only what is reasonably needed for that purpose. Where practical, we will tell candidates what information is being shared and with whom. Information sent to an employer or authority may be handled under that party’s own policies and the laws that apply to it.
5. Passports and original documents
A passport remains the candidate’s property. WellDesty will not ask for a passport or original certificate until the job and employer have been reasonably verified and the document is genuinely needed for a disclosed recruitment or official processing step.
If temporary submission of an original document is lawful and necessary, WellDesty will record what it received, provide an acknowledgment, restrict access, and arrange return as soon as the relevant step is completed. Our usual target for temporary passport handling is up to 30 days. A process may take longer—exceptionally, up to 90 days—if an employer, visa process, or competent authority requires it. We will explain the reason and provide status updates. Any retention remains subject to applicable law and the candidate’s rights.
The MEA advises candidates not to hand over passports or money before establishing the genuineness of the job and employer, and advises workers not to part with their passports abroad. Candidates should keep copies of their passport and signed employment documents. Read the MEA FAQs.
6. Data security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to prevent unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need the information for their work. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the recruitment process, a future opportunity the candidate has agreed to be considered for, legal requirements, dispute handling, or legitimate recordkeeping. We securely delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable law.
7. Candidate choices and requests
Candidates may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information, or to withdraw permission for optional uses. Some records may need to be retained or processed where required for a live recruitment process, legal compliance, or another lawful purpose. We will explain if we cannot fulfil a request in full.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The latest version will be posted on our website with its effective date.
